Job Description Summary

This leadership role, oversees and designs advanced experiments. Assist the principal investigator and play a leading role in developing a research program in the advancement of specific area of study and will play a crucial role both in all aspects of research products including development, implementation, and data analysis. Assess proposed projects by conducting feasibility studies to provide valuable input regarding viability, efficiency, timeline, and study design. In the implementation stage, this role will supervise and perform the project. This includes overseeing workflow and productivity of lab personnel and providing training to them on specific techniques as necessary. Responsible for data analysis, preparation of manuscripts, and presenting research findings through various forums.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis and other aspects of quantitative and qualitative research as well as theoretical research

  • Review, edit, format, and write manuscripts for publication and of grant proposals

  • Assist with and often direct the design and implementation of original surveys

  • Perform data collection and management

  • Administer literature reviews

  • Other research and administrative duties

  • Oversee laboratory operations.

  • Assist PI, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows with experimental procedures and analysis. Grant development

  • Conduct biochemical and molecular biology assays, including chemical extractions, PCR, RT-PCR, sub-cloning, and Western blotting

  • Protocol Development.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.
