The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets.  With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex world.

 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Quality Inspector, you will conduct inspection and electrical testing to assure the quality of the product or component meets requirements.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Where required, assures the product meets military standards, agency standards, or special drawing/specification requirements.
  2. Performs evaluation of returned goods from customers. Works with manufacturing to determine disposition of returned goods.
  3. Documents data obtained during all quality activities and maintains records consistent with company policies and procedures.
  4. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards, including UL, CSA, and military standards.
  5. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
  6. Assists with issues with testing and measurement equipment.
  7. Assists with ASME inspections and performs ASME welder/brazer qualification testing.
  8. Assists manufacturing in trouble-shooting product issues when failures are identified.
  9. Reviews purchased products or components requiring incoming quality inspection and determines acceptability of the product to specifications. Where required, assures the product meets military standards, agency standards or special drawing/specification requirements. Maintains certification records for purchased products as required.
  10. Documents vendor non-conformances and provides input to the decision to accept product and future purchases from a vendor.

 

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read drawings and wiring schematics
  • Microsoft Office

 

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with Syteline

 

Travel & Working Environment

  • Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

  • Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
