Receptionist Needed for Hands-on Office Support Work 

 

Full Time - Monday Thru Friday

 

Senior LIFE is an innovative home and community based Medicare and Medicaid funded program which provides all-inclusive healthcare services and support to seniors living in the community. Senior LIFE makes it possible for seniors to remain at home, enjoying the comfort and reassurance of familiar surroundings while receiving the care they need.  Senior LIFE staff live the mission of the program.  Our team is committed to partnering with our seniors to remain at home through promoting open communication and shared decision making while providing excellent care and services.

 

To fulfill this mission, Senior LIFE is seeking hardworking, dedicating and compassionate professionals to join its team. The Receptionist will be an important part of this team, supporting the Center Manager, Executive Director and LIFE Center as a whole. In this position, the Receptionist will be in charge of many administrative tasks throughout the day, all to ensure a productive environment and positive workflow for all members and staff.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, candidates should have strong communication and analytical thinking skills, and should work well under pressure. Daily responsibilities include:

 

  • Answering, screening and routing incoming calls on multiple lines
  • Typing letters and memos accurately, with no typos
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including distribution to staff
  • Maintaining up-to-date member information files
  • Greeting new members, caregivers and other center visitors at sign in
  • Ensuring all employees sign in/out of the center as they arrive/depart
  • Preparing daily paperwork and forms, including member tags, menus, employee meal signups and meeting documents
  • Updating and maintaining the Senior CALL system
  • Providing monthly information for the member newsletter
  • Maintaining RSVPs for scheduled events

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will be organized, efficient and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, plus a caring, compassionate demeanor and strong desire to help others. All applicants should have at least one year of experience in an office setting, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.
