The Act Two career relaunch program at NBCUniversal is a 6-month paid, fixed-term role for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for personal reasons such as caregiving. The program is open to individuals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce (in an office/ corporate environment) for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or another dependent. Job Description
Role Purpose
The Senior Analyst of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will report to the VP of DEI on the NBCUniversal Corporate DEI team. This position has an emphasis on analytics and metrics across workforce, programming, and philanthropy-focused initiatives across the enterprise at NBCUniversal.
Job Duties
- Manage and analyze large amounts of detailed data covering workforce, talent in front of and behind the camera, and philanthropic donations. This includes data collection, scrubbing, validation and synthesis
- Build, maintain, and utilize detailed spreadsheets in Excel, making use of pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Track and analyze numerous key metrics, utilizing historical trends and analysis of key drivers to derive insights
- Deliver recommendations and takeaways based on diagnostic analytics and strategic reviews, including relevant comparative metrics
- Create strategic reports and presentations that detail the progress of the Company’s diversity commitments/initiatives; communicate clearly and concisely all key takeaways, methodologies and assumptions
- Collaborate with the Comcast Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to create and facilitate NBCUniversal contributions to combined company reporting and presentations
- Review and advise on the work of other members on the team
- Support and contribute to submissions for industry surveys such as the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity survey, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility Corporate Inclusion Index, and the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index
- Utilize various database systems including SAP and Power BI
- Assess various Corporate Programs and Initiatives for effectiveness and impact, developing new metrics and making recommendations for improvements, as needed
- Develop additional reports, and assume other duties and responsibilities, as needed
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience working as part of an analytical project team, with defined and time-sensitive deliverables
- 4+ years of experience in advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to perform under time constraints and meet strict deadlines
- Experience analyzing and distilling large sets of data in Excel and present/communicate key takeaways and all supporting detail both verbally and in writing
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Self-starter, resourceful, and independent worker, able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, and SQL a plus
