ABOUT THE JOB
This position is with Helena Products Group (HPG). HPG develops Helena's extensive portfolio of proprietary products that includes seven product categories covering both crop production and crop protection. HPG leads the industry in creating innovations and formulation technologies and operates out of a state-of-the-art research, development and training facility located in Memphis, TN.
Are you passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights? As a Data Analyst on our Research & Development team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products by compiling, verifying, and analyzing high-quality R&D data. This is a crucial step to ensure that historical and current trial data is clean, accurate, and accessible. You'll be at the center of product development, building a robust database that will provide quick, insightful summaries to leadership, Brand Managers, and Sales teams.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AGRIntelligence's Digital Agronomy, R&D Data, and Power BI to ensure product performance data is available to support identified needs of our customers. Your work will drive smarter business decisions, allowing us to recommend the right products for the right regions, improving sales strategies, and strengthening the quality of our offerings.
Unlike traditional data roles, this position allows you to engage across multiple departments, from R&D to Brand, marketing and sales. You'll see firsthand how data influences product development, branding, and decision-making at a national level. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Maintains database needed to store, manage, and process large volumes of data, making it accessible and usable for analysis
- Develops and implements analytical methods and techniques to transform raw data into meaningful insights and deliverables
- Analyzes, manipulates, and processes large sets of data using software applications
- Maintains a spreadsheet index for all trial data file locations and descriptions within the database.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to create reporting efficiencies by identifying and establishing new tools, resources and reporting/analytic and/or business intelligence platforms to streamline the team's reporting capabilities.
- Develops reports and special projects as directed by R&D Manager.
- Assists in maintaining information databases used by the team.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
- Reliable and regular attendance is required.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
- Three years of data analytics experience is required.
- Agriculture knowledge, including an understanding of crop protection products, is preferred.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, to create macros/micros, pivot tables, etc. is required.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of Power Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred. <
