Project Engineer

What You’ll Do:

Century Living, the Multi-Family Apartment development arm of top ten publicly-traded homebuilder Century Communities, Inc. (NYSE: CCS), is looking for a for a Project Engineer.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

Preconstruction:

• Assist in putting together initial project estimates and bid sheets
• Assist in setting up and organizing invitations to bid and related documents
• Assist in the Plan Development
• Ensure adequate bidder coverage via solicitation

Construction

• Assist Project Manager in Bid Leveling and Contracting
• Coordinate subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to resolve any issues through RFI’s & Submittals
• Organize and manage contract documents and distribute via procore
• Monitor and maintain the project schedule
• Collect warranty material, create closeout documents.

What You Have:

• Expertise in residential construction concepts, practices, and codes.
• Capacity to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and blueprints.
• Ability to effectively work with managers and employees at all levels and develop positive relationships and productive culture.
• Skill at analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
• Success in maintaining effective working relationships with customers, contracted agencies and workers, other employees, and supervisory personnel.
• Capacity to adapt to changes, handle multiple projects, pay attention to detail, and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and positive.
• Is comfortable working hands-on when needed and has a get-it-done personality.
• Very organized with a systematic approach to achieving accuracy and efficiency.

Your Education and Experience:  

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in residential or multi-family construction in a high production environment is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management preferred but not required.
• OSHA 10/30 Construction qualification preferred.

Century intends to offer the selected candidate within the range stated; final offer will be based on a variety of factors including experience. Base pay range of $75,000 - $95,000 plus an annual bonus, commission, sales bonus, occasional incentive or quarterly bonus, whichever is applicable.
