Intern - Must be enrolled in a university prior to and post internship.
Target Internship Duration: May-Aug or June-Sept 2026
Locations: this position is fully in office in a hub location (Redwood Shores, Seattle). Hub locations are subject to change based on business needs.
What You’ll Do:
As a GenAI Research Intern in Generative AI Service team, you will be leading the effort of building distributed, scalable, high-performance AI model training and serving systems in partnership with our applied scientists and software engineers. You will dive deep into model structure to optimize model performance and scalability. You will build state of art systems with cutting-edge technologies in this fast evolving area. you will play a key role in shaping the future of Generative AI at Oracle, with an emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-modality Models. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered services for large scale enterprise customers.
What You’ll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications)
To be considered for a GenAI Research intern position in the OCI organization, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.
- Will be enrolled in a PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related technical field during the 2025-2026 school year
- Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Science, or similar areas).
- Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences.
- Expected Graduation Date of May 2027 or beyond.
- Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US
- Authorized to work in the US in 2026
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
