Job Summary
The Sr Social Media Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution, management, and optimization of Point32Health’s social media presence. This role is hands-on, directly managing and publishing content across social media platforms, engaging with audiences, monitoring brand sentiment, and ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice. The Sr Social Media Specialist oversees all organic social activity for Point32Health and its brand channels, including Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan, and CarePartners of Connecticut.
Working closely with the Director of Public Relations, this role is both strategic and tactical—developing content strategies while directly executing social media initiatives. The Sr Manager will collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content, manage community engagement, and analyze performance metrics to optimize impact.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five):
- Manage and execute all organic content and engagement for Point32Health and its go-to-market brands across primary social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube).
- Develop and publish engaging content, including copywriting, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives. Engage with graphic designer to ensure brand and channel appropriate graphics and video content.
- Actively help with community engagement, responding to comments and messages in an authentic, empathetic, and timely manner, along with the existing Digital Marketing Specialist. Escalate customer concerns to the appropriate teams and work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reporting and insights to optimize content and engagement strategies along with the existing Digital Marketing Specialist.
- Lead and execute social listening efforts to track brand sentiment, industry trends, and audience conversations, using insights to inform content and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, HR, Sales, and Product, to develop and align content with business objectives and campaigns.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and best practices, continuously testing new approaches and platforms to drive innovation and engagement.
- Train and support internal stakeholders on social media best practices, empowering teams to contribute effectively to the brand’s social presence.
- Ensure brand consistency and compliance, following social media governance and legal guidelines.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job
Education, Certification and Licensure
- Required (minimum): Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or marketing
- Preferred: Master’s degree
Experience (minimum years required):
- Required (minimum): 3-5 years of experience working in a marketing, public relations, or communications field.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing for health insurance or health care organizations
