About the role

The Opportunity:

 

The individual in this position is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the ACA Group Legal Department on a variety of legal matters. The individual in this position is also responsible for preserving ACA’s reputation for integrity and providing timely, pragmatic legal and business solutions that support ACA in an effective and compliant manner.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with drafting and reviewing a broad range of contracts to support ACA business functions, including client and non-disclosure agreements, as well as vendor, licensing and other commercial contracts
  • Assist with drafting and revising templates and forms as ACA’s business and service offerings evolve over time
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and the contracts manager in ACA’s Legal Department to support the Legal Department on a variety of day-to-day matters
  • Assist with researching unique legal issues impacting ACA and offer appropriate, business-oriented solutions
  • Assist with tracking legal department matters and files
  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Juris doctor degree required, licensed in at least one jurisdiction
  • Licensed in at least one jurisdiction

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • One years’ prior experience in a law firm setting or in-house
  • Experience drafting, review, and negotiation skills preferred
  • Experience in a combination of corporate, securities, transactional and/or investment management matters preferred
