This role can be based in our New York City office, on a hybrid basis. This role reports to the Chair, Internet, Domain Name, e-Commerce and Social Media Practice.
Position Summary
The Domain Name and Online Brand Protection Specialist is responsible for working closely with and providing assistance to attorneys and paralegals in connection with matters relating to enforcement of intellectual property and other rights online as well as matters relating to internet governance. The Domain Name and Online Brand Protection Specialist is also responsible for managing and maintaining GT’s domain name portfolio and assisting with other domain-related tasks. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of online enforcement and domain management, have technical expertise, and the ability identify and resolve issues. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and work in an organized and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates attorney and paralegal online enforcement efforts by, among other tasks, regularly updating and ensuring the accuracy of the tracking system, and following up with attorneys and paralegals to ensure enforcement tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Handles Evidence Collection for investigations and provides summary and preliminary analysis.
Reviews online monitoring reports to identify and categorize potential threats.
Coordinates applications for new gTLDs to include preparations of applications, coordinating and monitoring of submissions and alerting attorneys of status.
Manages operational aspects of new gTLDs.
Manages GT’s Domain name portfolio (including client domain names) to include, migration of managed domain names to centralized management, ensuring ongoing accuracy of the domain name database and tracking systems, manages and interfaces with GT’s corporate register, GT attorneys and paralegals and IT regarding registration, transfer in, or transfer out of domain names.
Provides domain name reporting to attorneys and paralegals and IT department.
Manages billing allocation for managed domain names.
Other special projects, as needed.

Education and Prior Experience
The ideal candidate will have significant relevant experience supporting large or medium-size organization
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of domain registration, transfer, renewal, and management processes
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Technology
Proficiency with domain management software and systems
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, required
The expected pay range for this position is:
$172,500 to $187,776 per year
