Diesel Technician- with Travel

Essential Functions:                                                                                                                                                         Pay range $25.26-$28.07

This position is responsible for:

 

• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and serving as an example of living our Producers Dairy purpose and core values.
• Conducting activities in a safe manner, following company safety guidelines and requirements and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed.
• Determine nature of needed repairs for company tractors and trailers through accurate troubleshooting.
• Work with the garage manager to properly prioritize work and complete within appropriate timelines.
• Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system.
• Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Performs Federal Inspections. A and B PM services as per DOT guidelines.
• Repair and Maintain Mechanical Equipment— Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.
• Repair of electric and hydraulic lift-gates.
• Computer aided troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Make safety a top priority – properly manage time and prepare for jobs to work in a safe manner. Ask for help when needed.
• Maintain appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal appearance standards to represent the department and the Company in a positive and professional manner.
• Other administrative tasks as assigned.
