What you`ll do:

Are you ready for your next career step within SAP? We offer you the opportunity to join the ERP CD Performance & Observability team as Senior DevOps Engineer.

• You will work on expert performance monitoring, root cause analysis and pro-active performance optimization for our S/4HANA Cloud Public customers with a strong focus on HANA and SQL analysis.
• You pro-actively investigate potential system bottleneck situations.
• As we are transforming S/4HANA Cloud, public edition further to a true SaaS solution you are able to adopt to new technologies and are able to leverage cloud technology standards.
• You support the extension of our monitoring, reporting & alerting framework by development in (SQL) script languages.
• You will actively engage with different units within ERP Cloud Delivery and within SAP to set performance standards and work on existing ones.

 

What you bring

• Bachelor / Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Information Technology
• Very good experience with HANA database analysis
• Very good understanding of SAP’s ABAP Platform and S/4HANA
• Very good SAP workload and end-to-end performance analysis skills
• Complex thinking, strong analytical skills and creativity in solving complex challenges required.
• Conceptual and structured work style with a strong sense for prioritization; result and execution oriented
• Customer focus and strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills.
• High level of motivation, flexibility, and agility
• Motivated to work in an international and fast paced environment.
• 3-5+ years of experience in service, engineering or technical operations role

We contribute to strategic initiatives and are centrally involved in defining the solution architecture for S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition with a focus on broader product architecture, integration across SAP’s product portfolio, product bundling while ensuring we comply to Cloud Qualities and can deliver all solutions at same quality and scale.

 

The Performance & Observability team drives and supports the development of the future harmonized SaaS Cloud Delivery observability tools and processes across SAP to leverage full optimization potential in close collaboration with all SAP SaaS LoB’s.

 

We continuously review and optimize the S/4HANA Cloud Public performance and availability end-to-end. To achieve this, we develop automated Root Cause Analysis, advanced alerting and visual pattern detection. Our team provides expert performance monitoring and optimization as well as complex RCAs around performance and stability.
