Hours: 6:00am-6:30pm
12 Hour Continental – Rotating schedule for entire year - Work Half the Year!

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform all functions associated with the start-up, shutdown, lockout, sanitation, and operation of the packaging and/or process equipment to produce high quality product that meets or exceeds targets for cost and quality.
- Responsible for day-to-day plant activities, working in a team environment that promotes safety, food safety, and clear communication.
- Must hold safety to the highest standard and maintain good manufacturing practices with emphasis in quality and food safety. Monitor and maintain proper product quality, appearance, weight etc. Adjusts, documents and communicates as required.
- Monitor and maintains proper packaging quality, appearance, code dates, etc. Monitor metal detector CCP in accordance with HACCP programs.
- Efficiently operate and monitor all process and/or packaging equipment to maintain product flow.
- Operate automated equipment not limited to touchscreens, electronic sensors, controllers, actuators, photo eyes, and motors.
- Supply, load and unload machines.
- Handle scrap and waste from the machine as necessary.
- Order raw and packaging materials.
- Routinely clean and maintain equipment and work area.
- Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sanitation tasks.
- Make equipment changes, adjustments and minor repairs as necessary.
- Assist mechanics with troubleshooting issues and repairing equipment on breakdowns.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent breakdowns.
- Coach others to maintain standards in their work area. Sets or reinforces expectations for team. Follow up to verify behavior meets expectations.
- Identify employee training needs in an individual/team and trains others. Coaches others to do the same.
- Proactively build and maintain productive working relationships with all people. Coaches others to do the same.
- Know who to go to and where to go to get good information and engage others to make appropriate decision. Communicate and escalate.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of HR practices. Delivers feedback in a professional and positive manner.
- Ensure job positions are adequately staffed at shift change and oversees operation of the production lines to ensure efficient production, as well as, sanitation, PM work and changeover against the schedule.
- Schedule and arrange for temporary employees as required for daily line staffing. Works directly with staffing agency to fill daily line staffing.
- Process beginning and ending shift paperwork in conjunction with other shift lead.
- Accurately complete all production paperwork and works closely with the production schedule to attain daily targets.
- Keep supervisor abreast of any employee issues or concerns and makes recommendations for disciplinary actions.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 months experience in manufacturing environment. Food industry preferred.
- Required knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. SharePoint, SAP, Smartsheet
- Ability to prepare written communication to deliver the proper message and share verbal communications in team or group settings.
- Ability to lead a team to resolve problems and improve results and utilize basic lean tools to solve problems
- Ability to recognize when company resources/information are needed. Locate company resources, evaluate, and use effectively and coach others to do the same.
- Ability to engage people across work boundaries to solves issues
- Ability to communicate with the maintenance department and reports mechanical issues. Communicate effectively with supervisor and management by reporting any mechanical or cleaning problems.
- Must be able to perform in all manufacturing positions for coverage during employee absences.
