REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager/Controller                    STATUS: Exempt                                                      

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

The purpose of this position is to help maximize profitable sales of assigned products, programs, and services. Work closely with sales staff to establish sales opportunities and long-term relationships. Ensure customers receive products and are invoiced in a timely, efficient manner.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist Agronomists with agronomic plans, order and data entry.

 

Perform billing functions, including making blend tickets and invoicing customers.

 

Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory of all products.

 

Onboard myFS Agronomy app to customers. 

 

Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.

 

Have awareness of customer programs to meet growers’ needs (i.e., Agri-Finance).

 

Complete sales and contact management reports on key accounts.

 

Attain and maintain all skills required for the position.

 

Support staff in assigned project-based work. 

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a 2-year degree in Agriculture or equivalent of 2 years or more of related work experience in the agronomy industry.

 

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, skill development and willingness to train.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.

 

Ability to work extended hours and on call as business conditions warrant.

 

Occasionally exposed or required to:  

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights 

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
