Senior Piping Engineer

• Perform Pipe Stress Analysis on high temperature piping systems using industry software - Caesar II
• Shall have experience performing pipe stress analysis on jacketed piping systems, high alloy systems, plastics and fiberglass system, in addition to carbon and stainless-steel systems.
• Shall be able to detail, design, and/or select pipe supports and perform necessary calculations to verify adequacy.
• Develop piping specifications in accordance with industry codes.
• Evaluate vendor equipment for design applications and external load carrying capacity and assist with equipment specifications.
• Visit Client plant sites to evaluate design options and take necessary measurements relative to stress analysis and piping design.
• Examine and validate drawings (produced by others) for quality and compliance.
• Establish and maintain pipe stress and pipe engineering procedures.
• Is expected to lead, mentor, train, and direct piping engineers and designers regarding pipe stress, supports and specifications.
• Adhere to Company and Client specifications and standards.
• Perform equipment layouts using 2D and 3D CAD software packages is a plus.
• Design of piping systems using 2D and 3D software packages and produce drawings is a plus.

• 4-year Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from an accredited College or University, prefer Mechanical or Structural
• Minimum of 10-years’ experience performing pipe stress analysis using Caesar II or other industry software. 
• Educational emphasis in Mechanics of Materials, Strength of Materials, and Stress Analysis is preferred.
• PE License is preferred.
• 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D CAD experience is a plus.
• Experience with design, layout, fabrication, or installation of piping systems is a plus.
• MS office skills is required (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to physical move about an Industrial Plant and be able to climb ladders, stairs, and access tight places.
• Occasional travel to project site is required.
• Shall have leadership experience in directing others in the technical areas of piping design and stress analysis.
• Shall be able to lead a pipe stress team on large complex projects.
