Position Overview

Sales intern will be offered the opportunity to work closely with our sales team and customers to learn sales objectives and gather an understanding of the building materials industry.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Assist full time sales, administrative, and logistics teams as necessary.
  • Learn the administrative requirements of the business through hands-on experience.
  • Learn the importance of taking detailed messages and timely communication.
  • Work with multiple departments on special projects as needed.
  • Establish benefits to educate both internal and external stakeholders about our services, products and their features.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and their usage.
  • Travel to various company sites to lend support as determined by Management.

 

Special Projects:

  • Conduct site visits, customer interviews and surveys.
  • Evaluate and clean up our digital footprint, i.e. google places and information.

 

Other Requirements:

 

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
  • Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. 
  • Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Company employees. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
  • Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
