The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Job Summary
This role is responsible for creating and maintaining Microsoft PowerBI reports and Dashboards within the IT Operations Team. Active partnership with key report stakeholders will inform the design requirements, and they will assist with the launch, training, and adoption of new reports as well as assisting our Data Engineer when needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Operations, with a clear understanding of the needs of IT Operations Management teams. With this perspective, they will harmonize and modernize old ways of reporting such as Excel and SSRS to the modern PowerBI platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business intelligence report design and implementation (PowerBI)
- Implement consistency and best practices across the platform.
- Translate business and functional requirements to dashboards and data visualizations.
- Collect feedback and user requirements for new report development or modifications.
- Partner with Data Engineer on data preparation and modeling needs.
- Provide support to the Data Engineer to assist with data processing job maintenance when necessary, including SQL jobs and queries.
- Track user adoption across teams to confirm the tools are being leveraged.
- Deliverable KPIs include active user counts and report usage within the BI workspace.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience with Power BI (desktop, service, power query, DAX).
- Understanding of data cleaning using Power Query, and data modeling in BI tools for optimal performance using large datasets
- Experience deploying Power BI reports in the Power BI Service (publishing, permissions, Apps, audiences, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL Server development is a plus
- Willingness to solve problems when solutions may not be readily apparent at the outset
- Knowledge of IT hardware inventory, Vulnerability Management, Intune, and Tanium are a plus
- Background education in data science, engineering, business analytics and/or relevant software certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Solid experience with Excel, familiar with pivot tables and summarizations
- Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability and able to work independently.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
The typical base pay range for this role is between $101K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
