Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist, under close supervision, is responsible for activities and operations of the vendor and accounts payable functions for the organization. This position also requires general and specialized office support and collaborates with other departments to enhance the Accounts Payable process automation.

Responsibilities

• Reviews coding and entry of invoices, and posts batches in NetSuite.
• Monitors the purchases returned on a weekly basis.
• Prepares accounts payable package (3-way match) for input into NetSuite, including purchase orders,
• receiving documents, check requests and invoices.
• Reviews calculations and verifies discrepancies in item receipts with warehouse team.
• Maintain vendor master files in NetSuite.
• Monitor AP mailboxes monitoring (The CompanyIMI and its subsidiaries).
• Other duties assigned, as necessary. Other duties assigned.
  

Qualifications 

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the AP department.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a change-oriented, fast paced environment that requires a high degree of productivity and adherence to deadlines.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Thorough understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, purchase orders, and payment cycles.
• Strong ability to analyze financial data and solve problems related to accounts payable.
