Primary Responsibilities
- The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for various accounts payable functions within the organization. The primary responsibilities of this role include paying vendors for services in a timely manner, and other various accounting functions as described below.
Essential Functions
- Enter Accounts Payable Invoices in the system on a daily basis
- Setup new vendors/customers in Sedona
- Pay invoices to vendors within terms due
- Send appropriate documents such as W-9, tax exempt forms, COI etc. to vendors when needed
- Cleary communicate to customers and coworkers on the phone and in person
- Use a computer for majority of the responsibilities of this position
- Work as the backup to the receptionist by answering phones when they are out of the office or on lunch break
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Must be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
- Must possess basic math and money handling skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting
- One-two years of experience in accounting role
Physical Requirements & Environment
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Background check required.
