Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function. The AP Manager will be responsible for managing the AP team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, enforcing internal controls, and supporting month-end close. This role is critical in ensuring the organization’s financial obligations are met efficiently and in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, three-way matching (PO, invoice, receiving), and payment execution.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop AP staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external regulations.
- Review and reconcile AP aging reports and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing accruals and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving teams to improve processes and payment efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to automate and optimize AP processes and systems.
- Prepare reports on AP metrics, cash disbursements, and aging to aid management decision-making.
Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with IRS regulations, including the annual preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multi-entity or global environment.
- Familiarity with AP automation tools (e.g., Airbase).
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
