About the Opportunity:

Tucows is seeking an Accounting Specialist - A/R to assist our Finance Shared Services team as we undergo rapid changes to support the growth of the business. You will gain experience in a fast-paced environment with broad exposures across the Finance group from full-cycle Accounts Receivable, systems support (testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting), internal documentation and compliance, treasury support, and various reconciliations for the Tucows Group of Companies in a multi-company, multi-currency environment.

This is a 1-year contract. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Accounts Receivable (85%)

• Performing daily collection duties by sending out emails and making calls for outstanding past due invoices communicating with Sales and Finance regarding delinquent customers
• Communicate effectively with external and internal customers on all billing, collections, and accounts receivable matters
• Ensure customers are receiving account statements and invoices to facilitate payment as part of the collections process
• Provide backup assistance to Billing
• Follow up on failed payments and providing chargeback documentation

Treasury Support (10%)

• Application of cash receipts from ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, checks, lockbox, etc.
• Providing statistical reporting regarding payments

Documentation & Compliance (5%)

• Assist with creation of Finance Shared Services policy documentation, external audit support, and internal controls review and testing.

Qualifications Required:

• Demonstrated prior experience managing full-cycle Accounts Receivable and customer billing functions as well as foundational understanding of debits and credits as they relate to Accounts Receivable
• Comfortable utilizing ERP and business intelligence systems
• Ability to multitask especially when working in a multi-entity multi-system environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow up on problem areas
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills a plus

The base salary range for this position is $52,800 - $62,100 USD for US residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
