Accounting Software Consultant

Purpose of this position: The Accounting Software Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring customers maximize the value of McLeod’s accounting solutions through expert training, support, and consultation. By enabling accurate financial setup, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving adoption of accounting features, this position directly supports customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term system utilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide training to support customers during new business implementation on the use of McLeod accounting modules.
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve accounting support issues.
- Provide customers with timely follow up and recap reports from accounting calls.
- Provide training in the form of conference calls, scheduled webinars, and occasional classroom training.
- Assist with maintaining accounting documentation for internal (employee) and external (customer) use.
- Provide suggestions to product development on new accounting features and improvements to accounting modules.
- Provide internal training and support to McLeod employees as needed on the use of McLeod accounting modules.
- Manage custom accounting-related projects, such as general ledger alterations.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum 3+ years of related experience, required.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and organizing detailed documentation preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting software strongly preferred. Knowledge of the transportation industry, a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job effectively, an individual should have an *intermediate or advanced* knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Dynamics GP and/or QuickBooks, a plus.
