About the Accounting Manager position

Bottom line? We’re looking for a new Accounting Manager to help guide the operations of the accounting department.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• To review POS revenue systems from a control standpoint and report on all areas where deviance from accounting standards occur 
• To reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and resolve any discrepancies 
• To co-ordinate the cashiering and cash deposit functions and report on all anomalies to standards and procedures 
• To verify for accuracy the Daily Revenue Report and submit to Regional office in a timely basis 
• To secure satisfactory explanations on Room Status Discrepancy report in a daily basis 
• To supervise the filing and maintenance of all accounting related documents and records on a timely basis in compliance with the company's record retention policy 

What we need from you

• Post secondary education in Financial and or Management Accounting 
• 2-3 years previous hotel accounting experience in a supervisory capacity
• Candidate must have proficiency in English, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others and have proven successful rapport with guest
• Other languages preferred

The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. 

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
