The Azurity Accounting Team is searching for a Accounting Manager to join the team as we enable the business to make profitable and well-founded decisions. The Accounting Manager is a well-rounded, experienced leader who can motivate the team to strive for better.
Role and Responsibilities
The Accounting Manager supports the VP, Accounting - US, in successfully managing accounting operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a team based in the US and directly interfacing with a shared accounting organization based in Hyderabad India. The areas of responsibility directly under the Accounting Manager are General Ledger accounting (excluding Revenue transactions) and Order to Cash Processing. The Accounting Manager’ has the responsibility to:
- Manage a team of accountants.
- Present technical accounting guidance to key stakeholder’s financial transactions and new accounting pronouncements
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial statements and flux analysis, including closing the month with a target of 5-7 days.
- Ensure proper accounting processes, policies and internal controls and implement improvements, where possible
- Maintain accounting and financial process documentation.
- Partner with HR to provide final approval for all payrolls.
- Key player in the annual external financial statement audit and external valuations
- Ensure proper accounting for external research and development expenses.
- Manage the Accounts Payable/ Travel & Expense Team. The AP team is responsible for payables processing and the T&E Team is responsible for corporate card processing.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA certification is required.
- Accounting experience with clear progression, including management experience.
- A hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves approach and a strong sense of urgency
- Detail-oriented and organized. A problem-solver who can quickly assess ambiguous situations, chart a prudent course and gain buy-in.
