Division Description:
ITW Appliance Components serves all the major Appliance OEM in the US, Europe, Asia, and Mexico and their tier suppliers. This global division manufactures mechanical, electromechanical and electrical components and assemblies with a variety of manufacturing processes. We have locations in the US, China, Mexico, the UK, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Italy. ITW Industrial Components is a separate Business Unit within the ITW Appliance Division focused on industrial customers and applications.

Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of the general ledger from preparation and input of manual entries to verifying the accuracy of internal inputs. Troubleshooting of all general ledger issues and problems; along with preparation of financial statements. Responsible for the timely input of all monthly financials and related schedules to FRIDA consistent with ITW financial reporting policies and procedures. Responsible for leading accounts payable and accounts receivables activities.
- Supervises Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel and daily activities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Accountable for the general ledger function including all manual journal entries and their formal documentation, calculation, and support, as well as all direct postings into the GL to include those from internal sources (A/P, A/R, Inventory) and those from external locations.
- Review and prepare reconciliations of all GL accounts.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of supplemental data and information, and monthly reporting to Corporate.
- Key financial team member interacting with and providing information and necessary explanations to internal and external audits as required.
- Responsible for all non-payroll tax preparation, documentation and reporting to include sales use tax, personal property tax and real estate taxes.
- Involvement in outlooking, annual plan and long range plan.
- Responsible for other duties or projects as assigned by local management or referred by ITW Corporate Accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business from a four-year college or university and five years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with navigating an ERP system. JD Edwards a plus.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Effectively communicates and influences decisions at all levels of internal and external management and customers.
