Job DetailsJob Location: IL - Milan HQ - Milan, IL 61264Position Type: InternshipSalary Range: $19.23 - $19.23 HourlyWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team at our Milan, IL location. This 12-week paid internship is designed for students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in accounting operations within a consumer products company. The intern will work closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to learn real-world accounting processes while building a strong professional foundation.

Pay: $19.23/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with reviewing, processing, and posting customer payments including checks and ACH transactions
Support monthly customer statement preparation and AR processes
Assist with processing inventory, freight, and operational expense invoices
Learn and support purchasing and receiving workflows
Participate in month-end close activities, including report preparation and journal entry support
Assist with general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting processes
Support daily cash reporting and bank reconciliation activities
Work with inventory specialists to identify ERP variances and assist with test counts
Participate in special accounting projects such as ERP integrations, fixed asset audits, sales tax compliance, and vendor documentation
Maintain organized electronic records and documentation
Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams on daily operational tasks
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Strong interest in corporate accounting and financial operations
Internship, coursework, or related experience preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding of accounting principles through coursework
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a professional environment
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability
