Brown & Brown is seeking a Accounting Assistant to join our team in Doral, Florida!

To work closely with Profit Center Accounting Leader to develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports and other reports as needed. Assist Accounting Leader and other members of accounting, as necessary.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Responsible for Payables and Receivables monthly.

• Responsible for all aspects related to the company payables (reconciling, researching, etc.)

• Process Company payable checks.

• Backup Process daily cash receipts via the online remote deposit system (iStream).

• Direct bill invoicing and reconciliation

• Backup for Workday Supplier Invoices/Payments

• Interact with companies and vendors regarding payables and receivables.

• Maintain procedures for all functions of the positions.

• Utilize Agency Management System in all aspect of the position.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• High School or equivalent required.

• College Degree not required.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to analyze data of an accounting nature. Must have attention to detail.

• Knowledge of AMS – Applied System or AMS 360 but not required.

• Knowledge of Workday but not required.

• Proficient in Excel and Word (Required). Other Microsoft office applications such as Power Point
  and Access helpful.
