DESCRIPTION: The Accounting Analyst is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, analyzing data and providing support to the finance department.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

This position requires living in the Rochester, NY area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will need to manage a general range of accounting, clerical and administrative functions such as supporting team members with processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end closing procedures, account reconciliations, capital projects, and other ad-hoc accounting projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• Support daily and monthly accounting operations

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar accounting role
• Associate degree in accounting required at a minimum
• Knowledge of accounting principles, policies and practices
• Working knowledge of internal control

 Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• The following would be a plus!
  • Experience at a financial services company or tech company
  • Interest in Bitcoin, blockchain, and tech entrepreneurship
• Experience working in a startup - high sense of urgency, ambiguous environment

A range of compensation is provided for transparency, however different factors may affect this range. Some of these factors may include (but are not limited to) education, training, credentials, skills, geographic location, and experience. This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
Range of Compensation: $68,000-$85,000/year
