Overview

"Summary/objective The Senior Accountant position will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and is responsible for daily accounting operations of the company, to include the processing of bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Must have experience processing payroll5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporationPreference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations

Supervisory responsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work environmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.Physical demandsPhysical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
