At MadTree, our Math Department plays a critical role in keeping the business running smoothly – from closing the books to optimizing cash flow to ensuring tax compliance. We're seeking a detail-driven Accountant II who takes pride in accurate, timely work, isn't satisfied with "the way it's always been done," and wants to grow into a trusted financial partner across the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Own core accounting functions – Manage the full cycle from journal entries and reconciliations through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Support A/P – Lead accounts payable operations including invoice posting, A/P aging review, and weekly A/P runs to keep the business operating with predictable cash outflows
• Keep us compliant – Coordinate Commercial Activity, Sales, and Excise Tax filings across multiple states and jurisdictions
• Know the numbers behind the product – Handle product costing, track ingredient costs, and participate in inventory counts
• Variety across business lines – Support hospitality, manufacturing, and distribution operations – no two days look the same
• Build, not just maintain – Develop process automation that drives real efficiency improvements
• Be a business partner – Work directly with department leaders to provide financial insights and identify opportunities
