About the role

Are you an experienced Client/Account Manager? Do you thrive in attaining and retaining customers by building strong relationships? The role of the Federal Client Manager is to increase and retain Westlaw and public records revenue, along with integrated workflow software solutions in the Federal market while strengthening customer relationships.  
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Federal Client Manager, you will:
Attain and achieve assigned sales and revenue goals by establishing solid, long-term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, presenting solutions and addressing customer concerns.
Develop a territory management plan that incorporates key revenue growth and targeted customer prospects to achieve sales and revenue
Provide day-to-day client management activities
Build long-term business relationships, grow value and revenue, drive retention, and increase the Thomson Reuters footprint
Coordinate customer support services to assigned accounts
Effectively demonstrate key products and solutions
Educate customers on the benefits of Thomson Reuters products and differentiators in the market
Conduct customer meetings and business reviews monthly
Coordinate training efforts to deeply penetrate accounts and obtain customer feedback.
Coordinate local marketing efforts within assigned accounts.
Keep up to date on competitive activities in accounts and communicate information to regional management.
Actively use Salesforce to track and manage account management activity to include forecasting, customer meetings and trainings
Demonstrate strong negotiation skills by effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Federal Client Manager if you:
BA/BS required; JD strongly preferred
1-2 years experience with federal government customers preferred, or 3+ years in similar market
Strong communication, and presentation skills
Field Sales or training experience strongly preferred
Field Account Management and marketing experience strongly preferred
Ability to travel to sales training, meetings and to customer locations
Customer service orientation and experience
Proficient in MS Office/internet
