Program Manager, Infectious Disease Initiative - O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - Georgetown University Law Center

The Infectious Diseases Initiative of Georgetown’s O'Neill Institute conducts research and advances policy recommendations to end the epidemics of HIV and hepatitis C and related infectious diseases in the United States. Through collaborations with people living with HIV and hepatitis, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels, we seek to increase access to prevention and treatment solutions and advance effective, evidence-based law and policy.

Job Overview

The Program Manager for the Infectious Disease Initiative supports implementation of global health programs - and serves as a substantive advisor on program implementation and as a backstop ID leadership on technical work streams.

A critical member of the grant management team, they lend substantive knowledge to the implementation of the initiative’s grants, and provide necessary coordination between and across ID partners.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Program management and support
  • Project management and support
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Research and writing

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An MPH, M.A., or related graduate degree such as public policy, public administration, or international affairs
  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in global health program management, administration, and implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in ambiguity
  • A self-starter who does not require directives
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating

Preferred Qualification

Experience writing and publishing academic papers

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
