Leidos is looking for a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support installation and facility operations for the Joint Munitions Command’s Operations and Maintenance contract at Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) in Nevada. HWAD is a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated site focused on storage, demilitarization, and maintenance of conventional and non-standard ammunition.
As the Deputy Program Manager for Ammunition Operations, you will directly support the Program Manager (PM) in achieving HWAD program objectives, and serve as the Acting Program Manager in the absence of the PM. The DPM for Ammunition Operations is one of two DPMs and has program-wide responsibility with day-to-day focus on ammunition Supply Depot Operations and Demilitarization, including: stock control, LMP records management, transportation, movement control and the Property Reutilization Office. The DPM Ammunition Operations will monitor and manage HWAD Ammunition Operations performance, risk, cost and schedule; detect and alert the PM of any material negative deviations; and develop/implement recovery plans as needed. The DPM for Ammunition Operations manages the submission and quality review of all deliverables, and the submission of frequent and rapid-turnaround contract modification proposals (technical and cost). This position is contingent upon contract award to Leidos.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support the PM's efforts to maintain a positive organizational climate with the highest professional and ethical standards.
Plan, execute, monitor and control personnel and financial resources.
Ensure that all required actions are adequately planned and that all projects and tasks under the contract run within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Manage multiple teams led by subordinate managers and/or supervisors, including subcontractor personnel.
Develops program status reports.
Interface with senior Government personnel, technical and non-technical staff, subcontractors, and support personnel.
Support process improvement and innovation.
As delegated by the Program Manager, has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within the HWAD program, in accordance with Leidos policy.
Clearance Required to be considered:
Active Secret clearance.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
An associate’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field with at least 15 years of relevant management experience; or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields with a minimum of 8 years of relevant management experience; or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant management experience.
A minimum of 12 years of total experience in in ammunition supply or DEMIL operations.
Within the last 10 years, at least 6 years must include direct supervision of 100 or more personnel in installation operations or facility management.
Within four months of hire, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the use of maintenance management and property accountability systems through consistent day-to-day performance.
Proven ability to communicate effectively at senior levels within a customer organization, including leading stakeholder meetings to develop, review, and execute task plans and deliverables.
Experience delivering professional briefings to senior customer leadership, stakeholder groups, and company executives.
Demonstrated application of project management principles, with knowledge of industry best practices such as those outlined in the PMBOK.
