Job Description

This position is responsible to support management, sales, plant staff, and other administrative areas by providing timely and accurate freight and logistics financial projections, price quotations, contracts, profit analyses, and implementation of company and customer routing guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Performs financial analyses, including forecasts, projections, and historical assessments for Parcel, LTL, TL, LW, Export, and specialized options.
• Liaise with Supply Chain Services, Logistics Vendors, Finance, Sales, Management, and Plant Operations to ensure Company freight programs are updated and current pricing levels, procedures, and routings are being applied.
• Produces quotes for new work and operations not covered by existing contracts.
• Compiles and administers customer contracts, including the update of price schedules and contract terms.
• Facilitates communication among management, sales, and plant staff regarding contracts and prices.
• Functions as plant and management resource on general price and contract issues as well as logistics and freight.
• Assists plant and vendors with daily operations issues for cost-effective, prompt resolutions.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an area related to the function of work preferred, minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years must be in the freight and/or logistics field
• Demonstrates ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions
• High attention to detail and be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately
• Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at the level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity
• Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments
• May require knowledge of, or the ability to, quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Pivot tables, and formulas
• Good communication skills with the ability to state messages clearly for others to understand, both written and verbal

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $51,900 - $91,500 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
