Executive Director of the SEU Institute for Central Florida Community Growth and Wellness
Overview:
Seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as Executive Director of the newly formed Institute at SEU, which will resource community nonprofits and organizations to provide job and career training, financial literacy learning and mentorship, non-profit excellence certification, and other services to provide holistic problem-solving options for community growth and stability. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction, fostering organizational growth, and ensuring the effective execution of our mission. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the community and drive positive change.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
● Work with SEU leadership and institute investors to develop and articulate a compelling vision and strategic plan
● Assist in creating and collaborating with the Institute Advisory Board
● Provide leadership in the formulation and execution of organizational strategies.
Organizational Management:
● Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
● Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Fundraising and Financial Management:
● Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to sustain and expand organizational programs.
● Work closely with the finance team to oversee budget development, financial planning, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Community Engagement:
● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
● Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Advocacy and Public Relations:
● Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, effectively communicating its mission and impact.
● Engage in advocacy efforts to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
Program Oversight:
● Provide guidance and support to program managers, ensuring the successful implementation and evaluation of programs.
● Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to enhance effectiveness.
Board Collaboration:
● Collaborate with SEU Leadership, Investors and Institute Advisory Board to provide regular updates, seek input, and ensure effective governance.
● Assist in board development and engagement.
Qualifications
● Proven experience in non-profit leadership, preferably as an Executive Director or in a similar role.
● Strong Financial psychology, planning and literacy knowledge.
● Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
● Track record of successful fundraising and resource development.
● Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
● Commitment to the mission and values of SEU and its bylaws.
Education and Experience
● Masters Degree in relevant field
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit leadership preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education or financial institutions.
This position is grant-funded. Positions funded by external sources are subject to immediate termination if the funding ceases. Benefits, compensation and pay increases are in accordance with the terms of the grant and available funding.
