TRAX Product Support Engineer

The SNC TRAX (Tactical Radio Application eXtension) Program Tactical Datalinks Product Support Engineer (TDL PSE) must have an advanced understanding of the fundamentals of tactical datalinks and how to integrate them into military operations. An advanced understanding of tactical air and ground communications and a basic understanding of networking operations is a must. Must be able to understand customer requirements, develop robust Tactical Datalinks hardware/software solutions in order to fully support the mission with Tactical Datalink capability. Must be expert in Link-16, Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL), Mobile Adhoc NETworks, (MANET), TRAX, and various other protocols/military tactical data links. JICO rating is desired. Must be able to possess a DoD clearance specific to the contract, be able to obtain the applicable medical examinations and be willing to fly on military aircraft in support of operations around the globe.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or typically 10 or more years of related experience

• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

• Progressive hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers

• Communication and customer interface skills

• Comprehensive understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems

•  Full understanding of military operations

• Stateside/International travel is required up to 20-30% annually (Training, Exercise, and Integration support to end users)

• An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
• Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
• Experience with RF, vehicle installation and maintenance procedures
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
• Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization
• Thorough knowledge of tactical datalink hardware is highly desirable
• Direct experience with United States Air Force Air Mobility Command is highly desirable.  
• Current Security+ certificate is desirable
• Current Network+ certificate is desirable
