Senior Accountant

Your role:

The Senior Accountant for our in-house finance function which supports operational, strategic and financial decision making at senior management level.

 

As a senior accountant, you will analyze complex financial records and reports. You oversee accounting operations for specific finance process, regulate and authenticate financial transactions, by maintaining accurate and on timely fashion the company ledgers

You will help the finance function leaders and reporting team by providing insightful financial information and will support monthly ledger control to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

• Checks and validates that the entries in the local accounting system are in line with the applicable reporting requirements local and group.
• Performs month-end and year end closing operations in accordance with the statutory reporting requirements and regional/global policies.
• Manages accruals and prepayments;
• Re-conciliates between the local statutory accounting system and the reporting system;
• Collaborates with the client service representative for the customization of the statutory ERP;
• Provide support on review the annual statutory financial statements and the half yearly accounting reports;
• Provide support on review the monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns for VAT and corporate tax as applicable;
• Timely identify possible accounting and tax compliance issues and communicate these to the manager and/or partners;
• Coordinate the accounting assistant and provide guidance on the accounting and tax work.

Requirements:

• University degree in Economics;
• At least 3 - 5 years of experience as Accountant;
• English language - advanced level;
• Excel – advanced level;
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and MS Office
