About the role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, the Executive Director of Decision Support is responsible for direct oversight of the Decision Support function and team, the Cost Accounting System, Service Line profitability reporting, annual service demand budgets, pro forma valuation of new services, and decision support system integration of clinical and financial data in a patient-centric repository. Develops and implements strategic and tactical tools, resources and analytical support to enable financial decision-making for the entire health system. Supports the financial integration of data for St. Joseph’s Health and is seen as the expert in collecting, organizing, and analyzing critical data by creating, managing and continuous improvement of models that allow leadership to look at data across the business entities and business lines in the absence of general ledger support. The Executive Director is the single source of this data analysis and reporting and supports the organizational strategy for business growth by serving as the key point of contact with external consultants and internal project groups.

 

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Management is strongly encouraged. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of management, financial planning, budgeting, data analysis, strategy development and stakeholder engagement experience required.
  • Three years of experience leading teams
  • Experience with a Health Care System, including Academic Medical Center highly desired.
  • Proven track record of building, managing and elevating programs that advance organizational goals and mission required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, business planning, ROI and P&L development is necessary.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the Oracle ERP and HCM systems, Kaufman Hall cost accounting and additional associated accounting software is highly desired

Pay transparency:  St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
