Senior Infrastructure Engineer

As a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer at Bungie, you will design, implement, and support technology solutions for our studio and datacenter operations, global partner integrations and customer-facing production systems.  You will work with our internal business partners to support the strategy of our networking and infrastructure platforms across Bungie. You will work with a team of highly experienced engineers and architects to continuously improve and evolve our infrastructure to ensure Bungie remains at the pinnacle as an entertainment company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Linux & Windows fleet management and design, supporting customer-facing datacenter infrastructure and compute 
• Research, selection, planning, and implementation of new technologies to support scaling of solutions to meet business needs 
• Wholistic infrastructure lifecycle management for studio and production facing environments 
• Critical build and development system design and support 
• Collaborate with InfoSec teams to ensure infrastructure and designs align with security requirements 
• Administer and maintain VMware virtualization environments and configure and manage virtual networking components 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, and work with support on escalations 
• Assist with ongoing training for our IT Support team and cross training for LiveOps team members 
• Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine maintenance tasks 
• Support for all related products and triage any issues that come up 
• Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, policies, and procedures 
• Provide after-hours escalation assistance as the highest escalation point for sub-discipline related issues 

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to design and engineer environments at scale, including redundancy planning, network connectivity design, performance troubleshooting  
• Compute and networking at scale, experience with design, management, security best practices, automation and tooling, performance tuning, and hardware troubleshooting 
• Experience in datacenter fleet management and live production best practices 
• Experience working in live high availability customer facing production environments 
• Managing, participating, and collaborating in complex projects with multiple team members, stakeholders, and department or team leads. 
• Understanding of virtualized environments in VMware 
• Working knowledge of core Internet protocols and services required 
• Ability to work independently to solve challenging problems and provide recommendations in a timely manner
