Production Supervisor - Appleton Foundry

If you are a Manufacturing Supervisor professional looking for an opportunity to grow in a workplace where safety is a top priority, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our South Milwaukee, WI location, you will be a part of a world class organization where you will be responsible for supervising 2nd shift Production operations, personnel and safety.  You will monitor department costs, quality methods, the effective use of production hours, labor skills, and furnaces. Additionally, you will participate in planning and staffing requirements.  

In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For:

• Maintain production to achieve company goals within acceptable scrap levels
• Maintain and enforce safety program for the production department; review safety records to uphold company policies to ensure a safe environment for all employees
• Develop melt personnel while encouraging a team environment
• Ensure and audit 5s+1 policies in the department
• Work with the team to ensure the department has materials needed
• Evaluate performance of staff
• Provide leadership and administer company rules, regulations, union rules and policies

 For This Role, You Will Need: 

• Relevant years of experience in a green sand foundry commensurate with the level of the position.
• Relevant years of supervisor experience in a maintenance environment commensurate with the level of the position.
• A high school diploma is required. 
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Available to work weekends, as necessary, to support production.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a green sand foundry
• Minimum of two years’ supervisor experience in a maintenance environment
