SUMMARY
This position requires the associate to have (2) job skills ie.(Piper, Electrical, Sheet Metal,Insulator,Panel Worker or Welder), and associate will be required to work in all Business Units. The position will require the associate to be in a Level II position at the minimum to qualify. Example (Piper II – Level 2)
Must be able to perform the tasks for two of the job classifications listed:
Electrical:
Follows Diagrams or Blueprints Ensuring Wiring is Correct
Installs & Troubleshoots Wiring of Electrical Fixtures, Apparatus, Control Equipment
Measures, Bends, Assembles, & Cuts Electrical Conduit
Performs Wire Pulling Through Conduit
Performs Splicing & Soldering of Wires
Connecting Wire to Lighting Fixtures & Power Equipment
Installs & Connects Power Cables & Grounding Leads to Equipment
Installation of Probes & Transducers
Perform Wiring of Transformers
Tie in Compressor Panels
Layout of electrical components, raceways and conduits for standard HFC compressor rack and remote manifold systems
Perform Wiring of Defrost, Lights, Receptacles, Fire-Stats, & T-Stats
Piping:
Completion of Mechanical Piping Training
Understanding of Torque Specifications
Must be able to measure, cut, bend, assemble/install copper and steel tubing
Perform Flare Making and Circuit Assembly
Assemble Liquid, Suction & Discharge Piping
Oil System Installation of Valves and Tubing
Cut & Braze Refrigeration Components
Must be able to read all Blueprints and submittals to accurately install piping systems
Understand Production Standards
Sheet Metal:
Read & Understand Structural Layout Drawings (Integra)
Assemble Panel Boxes, Exhaust Fans, House Door, Damper Hoods, & Pan Rings
Operates Screw Guns and Drills (pneumatic & Electrical)
Set Up & Operates MIG Welding Equipment
Smooth Rough Surfaces with Filing and Grinding Operations
Utilize All Cutting Equipment to Cut Metal Products
Lay & Attach Metal or Wood Flooring
Perform Water Leveling of Assembly Units
Apply Primer, Paint, Varnish, and Caulk
Installation of Wall Post & Assembles
Installs Membrane Roofs
Perform Close up Requirements
Insulation:
Validate Insulation Thickness
Cut tube Insulation to Specified Lengths and Angles and properly apply and glue to piping
Apply and glue tube Insulation to copper and steel piping
Measure, pre-cut and apply flat insulation to vessels
Interpret solid works piping diagrams to pre-cut insulation
Understand and apply Closure clamp insulation requirements
Understand and apply Uni-strut insulation requirements
Understand insulation production standards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
