The opportunity

Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Senior Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping our mission, vision, and strategy by deeply understanding both user and business needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll design intuitive, scalable systems that simplify complex workflows, such as trading, into intuitive experiences for financial advisors.  You’ll be a driving force in creating an industry-leading trading experience for RIAs, while also ensuring that the platform evolves with the needs of both users and the business.

Your impact

• Work closely with Product and Engineering to visualize a revolutionary new platform for financial advisors and their clients
• Work closely with the Trading team to build an industry-leading trading experience for RIAs
• Build detailed product flows, including error states and edge casesDesign for both desktop and mobile
• Apply data, research, and customer insights to design decisions
• Align with product and engineering to determine what success means for a given initiative
• Own the end-to-end design from ideation and research to executionIterate quickly through mockups and clickable prototypes that may range in fidelity and functionality
• Work within defined timelines to prioritize your work for maximum impact
• Work within our existing styles and design system to create a cohesive experience

What you bring

• Experience - 5+ years of experience working as a Product Designer; at a B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organization
  • Strong UX, visual design, and product thinking skills
  • Comfort with an iterative design process using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design and product improvements
  • A love for testing prototypes to create seamless, intuitive user experiences
• Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a design related field.
• Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma, Google Suite, Slack, etc.)
