Position Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-based applications that power modern parking technologies. You'll own features end-to-end with minimal oversight on a small, collaborative team.
The Senior Software Engineer leads the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based systems. This role ensures high-quality, secure code while mentoring junior developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation to support PMC’s technology goals and long-term growth.

Primary Objective
To support the development of reliable and scalable software by assisting with design, coding, testing, and maintenance, while gaining hands-on experience with modern technologies and contributing to PMC’s technology goals through collaboration and continuous learning.

Duties and Responsibilities
API Development:
Collaborate with the development team to design and implement REST-based APIs, ensuring reliable and efficient data communication between services.
Architect and develop serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, DynamoDB)
Design and optimize DynamoDB schemas, including single-table design patterns
Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Serverless Framework
Lead technical discussions and help define standards
Mentor other engineers and drive best practices
Ship features from concept to production

Bug Identification and Troubleshooting:
Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects, and support issue resolution to maintain application stability and performance.

Microservices Maintenance:
Help maintain and enhance the microservices architecture, contributing to scalability, modularity, and system efficiency.

Database Management:
Learn and work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB for effective data storage, retrieval, and optimization.

Cloud Technology Exposure:
Gain hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, ECS Fargate, SNS, SQS, and API Gateway, as well as other cloud-based tools and services.

CI/CD Support:
Participate in the setup, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and delivery processes.

Mentorship and Growth:
Work closely with Senior Software Engineers to build technical skills, receive ongoing mentorship, and grow within the PMC technology team.

Skill Development and Best Practices:
Collaborate with senior QA team members to expand testing knowledge, refine techniques, and adopt industry’s best practices. Stay up to date on the latest trends, tools, and methodologies to ensure PMC’s products remain innovative, competitive, and user focused.

Test Documentation:
Help create, update, and maintain test documentation and test data, ensuring organized and accurate testing records.

Additional Responsibilities:
Support the company's operational and financial goals by completing assigned tasks, staying flexible to business needs, and collaborating with teams like HR, finance, and legal. Participate in meetings, complete training, oversee valet marketing efforts, and manage crisis situations, ensuring timely and professional problem resolution.

This includes pinpointing and rectifying discrepancies in revenue reporting, unraveling the root causes of operational inefficiencies, and creating effective solutions to boost performance.

Education/Experience:
