Job Description
Wish is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead our Payroll team. The role will report to the Director of Accounting and will be a key member of the Company’s accounting team. The Senior Manager, Global Payroll will lead the payroll team and work on the daily administration of the organization’s payroll functions for domestic and international payroll. The role is responsible for global payroll which includes but is not limited to new hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves of absence, direct deposits, wage garnishments, vacation accruals, tax changes, healthcare premium deductions, and retirement benefits. The Senior Manager, Global Payroll will work with and communicate cross-functionally with other teams to support equity related payroll processes, sox/internal control compliance, human resources department for headcount initiatives, accounting team for accounting and reconciliations, and other finance and compliance related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Domestic and International payroll and the payroll team.
- Administration and Oversight of the Company’s payroll systems.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems (including expense reimbursement tool) to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including but not limited to salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of payroll transactions.
- Oversee and review the timely processing of payroll payments as part of the payroll cycle prior to release to the Treasury department.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems and procedures.
- Maintain, develop, and/or implement processes with HR for timely updates and delivery of employment information for timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Lead, review, train, and mentor the payroll team.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times related to compensation.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, including standard and ad hoc reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness as required by Accounting, Finance, HR, and Equity teams.
- Review and distribute annual W-2s.
- Provide documentation for payroll, 401K, and benefit audits.
- Support Global expansion payroll initiatives as required by the Company.
- Oversee and perform implementing, writing, and maintaining standard operating procedure for payroll.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Payroll experience.
- 5+ years of Payroll Management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of payroll systems and related systems.
- Thorough understanding Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Google suite.
- Proficient with payroll software.

The estimated base salary range for this position varies by the candidate's location as follows:
Candidates located in California: $138,000 - $177,000 annually
