A day in the life of our Finance Director:

As our Finance Director, you are a valued member of our leadership team, participating in strategic and organizational decisions. You’ll be responsible for business operations and financial management. Your days will be filled with:

• Head-down work, recording financial activity and ensuring its accuracy
• Keeping us in financial compliance with federal, state, and county authorities and other third-party organizations
• Engaging with team members across the organization to build useful budgets for planning our work
• Tracking and reporting outcomes and trends to inform business forecasting and position us for the future
• Keeping a close eye on grant requirements and restricted fund balances
• Asking thoughtful questions and offering sound feedback to ensure the effectiveness of our Executive Director
• Acting as point person on the leadership team regarding human resources, technology, contracts, and insurance

You will thrive as our Finance Director if:

• You love thinking and talking about debits, credits, and GAAP more than any of your coworkers
• Some of your favorite days in the office include a visit from our auditors
• You are the person people turn to when they need help with QuickBooks
• You are a champion for actionable reporting vs. just reporting the numbers
• You are solution focused; your first response to a new idea is how we CAN do it, not how we CAN’T
• You are a stickler for maintaining meticulous records
• You value follow-through and professionalism in yourself and others
• You are a self-starter but know when to check in with your team

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Onsite in Cicero, IN

Schedule: Monday – Friday; occasional but rare evenings and weekends, as the work dictates
