About the role

Position Summary:

Are you a dynamic and experienced project manager seeking a rewarding opportunity that combines technical expertise with a commitment to excellence? Look no further than the University of Dayton's Research Institute (UDRI) site located in Warner Robins, GA.

Primarily performs professional project management support and professional level administrative functions for the Corrosion Prevention and Control Office (CPCO) located at Robins AFB, Georgia. This position will have minimal supervision and split responsibilities into 2 major areas, project management and administrative support to the CPCO.
Administrative support areas include, but are not limited to, managing the CPCO's general business operations, coordinating travel requests, expense reports, trip reports, and survey reports, and organizing/planning technical interchange meetings. Project management duties will include the key aspects of project management: requirements gathering, estimating resource needs (including costs), executing projects, monitoring projects, and closing out projects. The individual will be expected to manage multiple projects between CPCO and UDRI while providing administrative support.
This position entails professional interaction with contractors and customers and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four years of diverse, progressive administrative experience and training
- One year of professional project management experience
- Experience with electronic record keeping, establishing business practices, and managing organizational calendars
- Experience in coordinating significant events such as technical interchange meetings, conferences, or multiday meetings
- Experience managing office operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Experience interacting with civilian personnel, government personnel, and contractors
- Self-starter with ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Experience keeping records for formal meetings, including decision points and action items
- Experience coordinating special events and dealing with VIPs
