Press Relief Operator 2nd Shift - 3 pm - 11 pm

To relieve press crew members for breaks and meals and to perform relief duties in such a manner that production, quality and quantity is not impeded.  Fill in as operator when operator is absent.

Perform other duties as assigned by the extrusion press operator or the Converting Mill Supervisor.

Perform the duties of press crew members during their breaks or meal periods.  
These relief jobs include Extrusion Press Operator and two Extrusion Press Helpers.  Keep supply of dies, clean-outs, and mandrels in tool heater.  Return used tooling to Machine Shop for repair.  Help crew members when needed. Assist in mandrel and die changes.  Ensure billet loader is working properly. Check and maintain water level on the pre-fill and gravity tanks.  Check oil cups on pumps. Keep assigned area neat, clean and orderly.  Follow all safety rules and regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Press Operator or the Converting Mill Supervisor.  Cut up all rejected and cut back all eccentric tubes at the end of every shift.

Must be trained in every job at the 301 Extrusion Press.
