About the role
As “Analyst, Special Projects AM”, you will be an integral member of the Order Management Team within Aftermarket.
You will provide critical support to cross-functional teams within NOV as and when required along with everyday task to:
- Develop and deliver actionable insights to the Aftermarket Business Groups; to drive of a pro-active approach of understanding the business performance and requirements based on data and statistical methods to identify gaps, process improvements, and aid in decision making.
- Develop applications or modules and build dashboards to manage and monitor business activities throughout the order management process and business specific operations.
- Automate reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions and create an enhanced experience for operations and our customers to visualize and track their projects' status and financials in real-time.
- Present findings and recommendations and manage changes and implementations.
Proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, Business Intelligence software, and programming tools will be critical for this role as will your ability to provide excellent customer service to all the Aftermarket Business Units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with management and relevant groups to prioritize business and information needs.
- Provide technical expertise in data structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Acquire data from primary or multiple data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Create dashboards and reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Manage and improve existing reports / dashboards systems.
- Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
- Manage users and user roles.
- Training end-users on new reports/dashboards as required.
- Document processes or guidelines / work instructions
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, data management, machine learning, statistical programming, visualization, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any relevant degree
- 3 years of work experience as a Data Analyst or in a related field.
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases / big data.
