Tufts Medical Center’s Physician Organization and the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry seeks a full time Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center and across the Tufts Medicine health care system in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and the Tufts Medicine Integrated Network (TMIN). The anticipated schedule will include 40% of time providing strategic and clinical leadership and 60% of time providing clinical outpatient treatment at Tufts Medical Center and research depending on the candidate's experience and interest.
How you’ll transform patient care:
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to service delivery including developing strategies and service delivery models to promote patient access to care for the child and adolescent population via child and adolescent behavioral health services and integrated behavioral health.
- Provide oversight of the Child & Adolescent Outpatient clinics including: ADHD, McPAP (Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program), Pediatric Mood & Anxiety, Developmental Trauma, Psychotherapy, General Child & Adolescent, Pediatric Medicine at TMC (co-located child psychiatry), Community Child Psychiatry practice (Woburn-co-located child psychiatry).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Tuft’s 6 Fellows in our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and in partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, the Triple Board training program’s capacity of 10 total residents.
- Responsible for the performance of child and adolescent staff adherence to established departmental and regulatory standards of care, standards of practice, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Participation in Departmental leadership as well as teaching in the Adult Psychiatry Residency.
- A leadership role in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient service at the Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital, a new Joint Venture hospital directed by Tufts Medicine and Acadia Healthcare opening in September 2025.
Who You Are:
- A demonstrated successful clinical leader at an academic institution
- A passionate mentor with a proven track record of both clinical and academic accomplishments and of supporting the clinical accomplishments of those you have advised
- Possess an MD, or equivalent, and eligible to obtain a medical license in the State of Massachusetts
- BC/BE in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Appointment to the Tufts University School of Medicine faculty based on experience and accomplishments with opportunity to teach medical students and participate in Medical School leadership efforts
