ABSMC-Summit CampusPosition Overview:
Provides supportive services in the Rehabilitation Therapy department serving the acute care units of ABSMC, Summit campus, including, but not limited to: Under the direction and immediate supervision of licensed therapists, performs patient related tasks; performs equipment and area maintenance and cleaning, and completes administrative duties as therapists may request. The aide takes instructions from, and is under 100% supervision of, licensed therapists in the rehabilitation services department.Job Description:

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Three to six-months related experience and/or training preferred.
Experience in a health care environment preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to effectively communicate and represent the department to people in a courteous, tactful, and poised manner.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with and present information to patients, families and co-workers.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay Range is $29.25 to $34.95 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
